Professor Natasha Stacey is an environmental anthropologist and leads the Communities and Livelihoods Research Group in the Research Institute for the Environment and Livelihoods (RIEL) at CDU. Our group of postgraduate candidates and scholars conduct research across a broad array of countries, social science disciplines and topics within the field of Environment and Livelihoods. A strength of our work is our multidisciplinary approach to produce knowledge to enhance the livelihoods and wellbeing of Indigenous and local and rural communities, while maintaining resource sustainability in Northern Australia and the Asia Pacific region including Timor Leste and Indonesia.
Natasha has has supervised more than 20 postgraduate scholars on a variety of topics including sustainable marine and natural resource management, Indigenous Knowledges, food security and coastal livelihood projects.
