We need your help!
As a member-driven organisation, we rely on our members to set priorities and drive network activity.
Late last year, network members identified five priority opportunity areas for network growth. We are now calling for volunteers to lead and participate in these exciting work programs:
- Events – This group will identify opportunities to promote member networking and information sharing through existing or new events, conferences or workshops
- Indigenous partnerships – This group will initiate partnerships with Indigenous scholars and identify ways our network can support Indigenous voices in marine science research and applications
- Network strategy, vision and governance – This group will establish a strategic vision and governance principles for the network and look at options for formalisation
- Data and Knowledge Sharing – This group will develop critical resources (e.g. national social data dictionary) and investigate collaborative platforms for knowledge sharing
- Policy and Science Partnerships – This group will develop and progress strategic actions that promote integration with marine policy organisations and science-society outcomes
Would you like to be part of these direction-setting activities of the Australian Marine Social Sciences Network? Get in touch via the Contact Us form to let us know which group you’d like to be involved in!
